Finn McCool was the greatest hero and warrior in Ireland and leader of the legendary mercenary army called the Fianna Éireann who protected the country from enemies, foreigners and other invaders while in the service of the High Kings. Finn is remembered in myth and legend in both Ireland and Scotland in a series of tales known as the Fenian Cycle.
